VIP & Diamond Spending Guide

Last War: Survival — Where every diamond should go, and what to never waste them on

VIP activation costs

VIP level determines which perks are available. VIP time must be purchased separately to activate them. Time stacks — buying more adds to your existing duration.

Key VIP milestone levels

Not all VIP levels are equal. These are the ones that actually change your gameplay:

LevelKey unlockWhy it matters
VIP 1Adventurer Taylor (survivor)Extra treasure reward from radar tasks. Unlocked automatically early.
VIP 3+10% construction speedFirst meaningful speed boost. Great early F2P milestone — achievable from daily chests.
VIP 62nd permanent builder queueCritical milestone. Rush to VIP 6 ASAP. Double building speed changes everything.
VIP 7Auto-functions unlockMassive time-savers. Less daily clicking, more actual playing. The "sweet spot" for F2P/low spenders.
VIP 8Extra march queue + Agent ShirleyFarm or fight more simultaneously. Shirley is a valuable survivor. The "buy-in" point for efficiency.
VIP 9+60% building speedSweet spot for base developers. Those week-long timers become much more manageable.
VIP 11+50% construction + 15% research speedMajor power spike. One of the sharpest jumps in the game. For serious players rushing tech and HQ.
VIP 14+20% healing boostPvP recovery advantage. Carried through VIP 15.
VIP 15+10% training speed + healingNon-negotiable for rally leads and war whales. Faster queues + faster healing = back on the map hours before opponents.
VIP 18Maximum level (current cap)Whale territory. All bonuses maxed. Extremely expensive to reach.

F2P VIP strategy

Claim the free daily VIP chest (up to 200 points/day). Join a strong alliance — whale purchases give everyone VIP points through alliance gift chests. Spend diamonds on VIP points when you're close to a milestone level (3, 6, 7, 8). The 30-day activation is always the best diamond-to-time ratio.

Diamond spending priority (F2P & low spender)

Diamonds are scarce. This is the strict order of where they should go:

  1. VIP levels → reach VIP 6
The 2nd permanent builder is the single biggest progression unlock for diamonds. After VIP 6, continue toward VIP 8 for Agent Shirley and the extra march.
    1 diamond = 1 VIP point
  2. VIP Store: Stamina (every Monday)
Buy all 5× Stamina (50 each) = 300 diamonds/week. This is the best value in the entire shop. Stamina fuels campaign progress, hero XP farming, and radar missions. Buy this without fail.
    300 💎/week — non-negotiable
  3. VIP Store: 8h & 3h Speedups
Best diamond-to-time ratio for acceleration. Use them to hit Arms Race milestones or finish critical HQ levels. Only buy when you have an active project that needs them.
    Buy only when needed
  4. Shields (before Kill Events)
8h, 12h, or 24h shields before you go offline during Kill Events or Saturday VS combat. Losing troops costs far more than a shield.
    Situational — don't skip
  5. Teleports
Move closer to your Alliance Hive. Essential for coordination, alliance helps, and protection. Buy as needed.
    Situational
  6. Drone Components (VIP Store)
Drones are one of the strongest force multipliers. If you have surplus diamonds after the above, drone components from the VIP Store are a great long-term investment.
    Surplus diamonds only
  7. VIP Store: Skill Medals (Season 2+)
Skill medals become a major bottleneck in Season 2+. Only buy if you have 5,000+ diamond surplus and your main hero's skills are lagging behind.
    4 💎 each — only when surplus

VIP Store buying guide (Monday reset)

ItemBuy?Notes
Stamina ×5Always300 diamonds total. Best value in the game. Buy every week.
8h / 3h SpeedupsYesBest diamond-to-time ratio. Buy when you have active projects.
Skill MedalsSituationalOnly if surplus diamonds and actively upgrading hero skills.
Drone ComponentsSituationalGood long-term value if drone is under-leveled.
Resource ChestsNeverEasily earned elsewhere for free. Terrible diamond value.
Gear MaterialsNeverSuperalloy etc. — farmable from other sources.
Recruitment TicketsNeverYou get plenty from events and daily tasks.

Diamond spending traps

Never use diamonds to speed up timers directly — the exchange rate is terrible. Buy speedups from the VIP Store instead. Never buy random pop-up resource packs. Never spend diamonds on stamina refills beyond the VIP Store's weekly 5 purchases. The VIP Store resets every Monday — don't let it go to waste.

Diamond income sources (F2P)

Daily tasks (up to 30 diamonds), 3v3 Brawl thumbs up (10 diamonds/day), alliance gift chests from whale purchases, event rewards, campaign progression, and code redemptions. In a strong alliance, you can earn thousands of free diamonds per week just from alliance gifts.
